John Caza: The living embodiment of Global Dance Grooves

John Caza's favourite 5

My5 with John Caza

You might not have heard of John Caza quite yet but this 20-something producer from Michigan is just getting started. Increasingly John’s story is a common one as the Internet and globalization continues to shrink this planet we all call home. A classically trained pianist from Romania, John has has studied at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto, received tutelage from the acclaimed Minduo Li, piano professor at the University of Shanghai, China, and has had an extended stint with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra Jazz Band under musician and composer Kris Johnson. Not exactly what you’d expect from a prolific electronic dance music composer.

Fortissimo

John has recently joined forces with his close friend Mike Mikhjian and the two of them are collaborating around the clock as they tried to nail down their signature sound. A mix of 90s dance melodies with 2000s trance pads and new-age tekhouse beats is what best defines his current style. Inspired, influenced and supported by both local and international artists, John Caza is emerging as a unique progressive sound in today’s fast paced electronic music society.

John Caza’s My5
  1. “Venaccio – Out Of Nowhere (Instrumental Mix)” -Oldschool trance with newage elements and an epic breakdown! .
  2. “Chad Hardcastle – System” – Progressive deep tech house, groovy with just the right amount of elements.
  3. “DJ Yovan Ft. Claire Hayek – I Will Follow You Electro Remix” – Fast Eddie turned the progressive housey track in a more trancy electro version, very cool. (Check out his video of it on YouTube).
  4. “Frank Frenzy Promo Mini Mix” – Groovy house with a deep bass, reminds me of Destination Unknown and Tunak Tunak Tun slowed down! Awesome!
  5. “Tune-Trigger – The Final Countdown Vs. Be Faithful (TUNE-TRIGGER RMX) Sample” – Epic final countdown dance remix.
