This was a "DJ" contest, not a producer one, and to me DJ'ing is the art of blending music together. Noone said that it was an incredible feat. Infact DJ'ing as a hole isn't rocket science. Using Ableton it isn't too hard to make an original track either. FYI people buying loops and pasting them together isn't an original track either. As for the music selection, it's a snippet from an older piece I used over a year ago. The funniest thing is that any of us even wasted our time entering a contest where someone could just buy votes.

Hey man, I agree with some of the other comments....this is a great dj mix. But not at all difficult with programs like Ableton live. I to use Ableton live to Dj and Produce aswell as teach monthly seminars.... but i submited an original track. I personaly dont care who wins (because it seems the voting is easily manipulated)but you could have atleast used up to date music. That set would have been great 2 years ago. The funniest thing...is people are ignorant enough to have voted for you...asuming you didnt just buy your votes. Thats just my humble opinion.

To the producers who think DJ'ing isn't a valid skill, and to the DJ's who think using production software to mix isn't a valid skill: shut the f#@k up and enjoy the music. This piece was also mixed LIVE in front of a packed crowd at the DoubleDoor in Chicago on 8/5/9. I use turntables, CDJs, serato, ableton, midi controllers, and what ever equipment will help me make the sound I want at the time. If I was willing to buy points I could have bought and sold this contest long ago. Thank you to all my fans and friends who responded to the countless emails sent.

wow this guy must be RICH! look at all these points pouring in!! good job man!! it is a decent mix even if it is made with software.... i got a much more epic dj mix i made in software @ www.soundcloud.com/audiobombmusic and it's a free download too! but Pasha, they only give you $500 if you win, how much has it cost you so far if you dont mind me asking? anyways enjoy miami and it was fun to be 1st while it lasted, good game my friend!! I wish the rules for this contest werent so vague and i really wish the rules didnt outright contradict themselves... but whateves. congrats pal.

yeah sounds good, but I'd like to know how it has been made (mixed down).. if with any kind of mixing software I couldn't give any credits to the artist only to the software. however,.. sounds not bad. Peace

Really good Mix. It's still only a mix and not a homemade own song, so nothing revolutionary. I do like your work, Pasha, but I'm sorry to say that I hope that someone will win, who actually created their OWN songs from crash. Keep the good editing up :)
