I love this mashup, the vocals fit perfectly with "Proff - My Personal Sumer", I loved Jay's work as well but this is a tune I would like to listen to just before the sunrise. You and Jay, both deserve to win, no matter what people say but unfortunately only one will be winner by votes. Anyone who knows you knows that you've been fair and that if you win this contest it will be because of the support of many of us who voted on your mashup because we loved it, nothing more. My respect to Jay as well, he has been an amazing contestant.

No Gail, the promoter didn't say he would change the rules FOR ME, he just said he would change them, period. There are many other contestants that have uploaded mixes/mashups.

Original is original in anyone's book of rules. As a journalist, I know the rules for plagiarism only too well. I'm sure the promoter will do what's right to get this straightened out, because if Mat wins and has violated entry rules....OMG ....

They were going to change the entire contest format, rules and regulations for your mix? Have the contest hosts shed any light on this yet? I will admit I feel like this should have been addressed before this point and hope that it is dealt with fairly and according to the same rules for each participant.

I understand what you mean, there's a clear confusion. I was confused myself, and so I contacted audioacademy. They said what I did was fine, and that they would MODIFY the contest rules that were incorrect, but that never happened. Now, that's not my fault, and I shouldn't be compromised by this, right?

Your right bud... nothing illegal at all. I mash tracks together all the time myself. Its one of my fav. things to do. I'm just confused i suppose. im reading the rules and they are pretty clear. You can mix tracks together... AS LONG as they are original tracks and not somone elses hard work. also, you must have permission to use voice samples from original artist. What your saying to everyone, is basically the rules don't apply to you. I honestly don't think im being a prick here at all man. Just trying to keep this fair... i think the other competitors deserve that. all bias's aside.

well zeus, feel free to contact whoever you want. Mashups are not illegal in any country in the world, specially when credit is given and the sample is only 2 minutes long and NOT downloadable. Besides, as I already said, I contacted the contest organizer before the contest asking specifically is I could post this kind of mashup. So there you go, no harm done.

Well then ... Your a pretty lucky little fella' then aren't you? To have been able to clearly violate the constest rules through special permission of the site staff. I'm curious though Mat. The rules also state: 'c. Entrant has obtained permission from any person whose name or voice is used in the Submission' - do you retain permission to use the voice sample which is basically half of your track? Its one thing to throw random samples in your set in the club. Its an entirely different matter to do this in a contest. Jay is a professional DJ in every sense of the word. His voice samples are a fraction of his track, but i KNOW he has the right to use them and even gives credit in the label of his track. I may even email the producer of that track you used.. just out of curiousity.

Sorry, this isn't a track that deserves to be # 1, it's boring and tiring, the build up does nothing for the track! for a contest like this, you should bring your 'A' game and only use original sounds vocals NOT a mash up!!!.. I listened to this 2 times and it still does nothing for me......oh sorry i fell asleep there again!!

Have to agree with Mat. Posting negatives on 'the other guy's' vote page does nothing to help anyone gain votes. Would I change my vote because someone said Jay's mix was this or that?
